Hello My Name Is...

Well hello.

 Thanks for tuning in to this crazy little thing called my life. I'm not promising anything extraordinary, but I promise I'm going to do my best to get a hang of this whole blogging thing. 

First a short introduction for both your and my sake. 

I'm Mei Lu, I'm a 17 year old girl, I like writing, and I'm going off to college this fall. So as you can imagine, I'm going through one of those "transition phases". I'm not pleased to admit it, but this is one of my many attempts to create content with the hope that it sparks some sort of emotional response in me. Yes, that's where I am right now. But, something about this time around feels promising to me. 

Honestly, one of my biggest setbacks was my lack of confidence. I was never happy with the design or what I had started writing about or the way I sounded, but I realized that all that stemmed from the idea that I wasn't being myself. I tried to make everything epic and so. not. me.  

So this time around I'm doing this for me. 

I hope you decide to stay around awhile and listen to my inner ramblings. I promise to be as "me" as possible.
